VENOUS INTERVENTION MODULE

Diagnosis and Treatment of Venous Stenosis

This module enables the practice of the diagnosis and treatment of venous stenosis using a femoral approach, including PTA and stenting. The module includes virtual patient cases presenting different anatomies, stenosis locations (cephalic, subclavian and brachiocephalic) and severities.

Learning Objectives:

  • To establish knowledge of upper venous anatomy
  • To practice performing and interpreting diagnostic venogram of the upper veins
  • To practice safe imaging techniques
  • To practice proper sizing, positioning, and inflation/deployment of angioplasty balloons and stents
