From the patient’s point of view, looking at the model makes it easier to comprehend the procedure and possible outcomes in comparison with listening to a more complex medical explanation. Using models facilitates the process of informed consent and may protect the physician from possible law-suits as the patient will not be able to deny he saw what is going to happen”.
