Webinar: Transseptal Puncture and Pulmonary Vein Mapping:

Join us on Wednesday, January 25th, 2017,  1:00 pm EST, 6:00 pm GMT

Educational Objectives

This webinar is to inform and educate electrophysiologists on the:

  • Methodology of transseptal catheterization performed to map and ablate cardiac arrhythmias in the left heart
  • Usefulness of intracardiac echography to guide this procedure
  • Methodology of pulmonary vein mapping using a mulitpolar circular mapping catheter
  • Usefulness of a high fidelity simulator to learn these procedures in the early phase of the learning curve

Target Audience

  • Electrophysiology fellows
  • Cardiology fellows with an interest in cardiac arrhythmias
  • EP laboratory technicians
  • EP laboratory nurses

Roberto De Ponti is a professor of cardiology at the University of Insubria, Varese, Italy and chief of the Arrthythmia Unit at Ospedale di Circolo e Fondazione Macchi, Varese, Italy. He is also the director of the fellowship program in Cardiology at the University of Insubria, Varese, Italy. Over the last 25 years, his research and clinical practice have focused on interventional electrophysiology and catheter ablation of cardiac arrhythmias with particular emphasis on transseptal catheterization, complex arrhythmias, ventricular tachycardia and atrial fibrillation.
