SOCIETIES AND PARTNERS

Surgical Science partners with leading societies, industries and training centers to ensure the excellent quality of our training solutions:

Surgical Science partners with EAU to support hands-on training for robotic surgery. For the first time, the RobotiX Mentor simulator for robotic-assisted surgery will be available during the ESU/ERUS Hands-on training in Robotic surgery courses during the EAU 2016 Annual Congress in Munich.

Surgical Science and the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES) have collaboratively developed a simulation-based endoscopic hands-on skills assessment system for their Fundamentals of Endoscopic Surgery (FES) program.

SAGES curricula includes both didactic and simulation-based educational elements, followed by a high-stakes validated exam to assess both knowledge and hands-on proficiency.

chest

Surgical Science and the American College of Chest Physicians (CHEST) have joined forces on several initiatives designed to improve patient safety and outcomes through advanced bronchoscopy education. The BRONCH Express, an innovative virtual reality simulator for EBUS-TBNA was co-developed to provide a meaningful yet affordable hands-on training solution for the growing demand for EBUS-TBNA training and qualification.

CHEST is the global leader in advancing best patient outcomes with a mission to champion the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of chest diseases through education, communication, and research.

Surgical Science and the European Association for Endoscopic Surgery (EAES) have joined forces to develop a Laparoscopic Skills Curriculum.
This Curriculum will comprise both didactic and skills development components, including eLearning and simulation-based assessment elements.

Surgical Science developed in conjunction with and endorsed by the American Association for Bronchology and Interventional Pulmonology (AABIP) a Bronchoscopic Essential Skills Module.

The European Surgical Institute (ESI), Johnson & Johnson MEDICAL GmbH, is one of Europe’s leading centers for Continuing Medical Education (CME). Our mission is to measurably improve the success of individuals and organizations involved in the health care industry.

“3D System LAP Mentor simulators are utilized as an integral part of nearly all workshops and training sessions involving laparoscopic surgery. MentorLearn has assisted us in automating and reusing our standardized simulation courses and group management, making the administration tasks much easier “, Senior Manager Virtual Reality Technology, Gabi Punner.

ERS

ERS partners with Surgical Science on Simbionix simulation technology for EBUS training

The European Respiratory Society (ERS) and Surgical Science have signed a collaboration agreement to provide simulation equipment and event services for training centres for use in the ERS Endobronchial Ultrasound (EBUS) Certified Training Programme.

As a result of the agreement, Surgical Science’ BRONCH Mentor hands-on simulator will be used at three ERS training centres, based in Heidelberg, Copenhagen and Amsterdam, during the first two parts of the EBUS training programme.
